First day at Refinery 29 was a treat, and being back at work- writing, researching and blogging, feels great. (Self-glorification, spy my first posts here and here.) I'd forgotten how good living and working in New York feels, but the smile shining off my face this morning is reconfirming its brilliance. The buzz, the speed, the instantaneous. It feels so good to be 'home'.

Today, I await the arrival of my best friend; sharing the city feels doubly-good. A week with my homeboy makes for just one more thing to smile about.

Soundtrack to accompany my smiles this morning:

shall I update you?

FINALLY FREE OF WORK AND DEADLINES FEELS PRETTY SWELL. HAVING TAKEN OVER LIFE FOR A GOOD 11 WEEKS, I THOUGHT IT'D BE RUDE NOT TO SHOW YOU.

A JAPANESE/ 50s COUTURE CONSTRUCTION PROJECT USING A (HORRENDOUS) NONWOVEN FABRIC WAS MORE THAN CHALLENGING. DOCUMENTING AND RESEARCHING WAS TYPICALLY MY FAVOURITE BIT; HERE ARE A FEW LEAVES FROM THE 200-PAGE JOURNAL.

AND A GEISHA-INSPIRED PHOTOSHOOT. WHAT DO YOU THINK? NOT EXACTLY WEARABLE RIGHT. DESPITE MY CYNICISM FOR THE FABRIC, WE MANAGED TO REAP A FIRST-CLASS GRADE.

bleugh (apologies)

sorry for the lack of posts of late, life's been pretty deadline-doomed. And now, revision has to commence- bleugh. Strong coffee, needed.

WHAT HAVE I BEEN DOING? THIS.

HAVING RECENTLY GOT MY FEEDBACK, BACK, FOR MY SEMESTER ONE PROJECTS, I FIGURED IT WOULD BE RUDE NOT TO SHARE WITH YOU THE THING THAT DOMINATED MY LIFE FOR A GOOD 8+ WEEKS.
