BEING STYLE EDITOR FOR THE STUDENT PAPER IS SUCH FUN.
SCOUTING MODELS, ORGANISING PHOTOGRAPHERS, THINKING UP THEMES, FINDING LOCATIONS, LIAISING WITH SHOPS, FINDING CLOTHES, DIRECTING SHOOTS, LAYING OUT PAGES, AND FINALLY THE EXCITEMENT WHEN IT ALL LOOKS GOOD IN PRINT.
THE UNFORTUNATE THING IS IT'S ADDICTIVE, AND DEFINITELY A FULL-TIME JOB (HENCE MY DEGREE IS FAILING AT ITS EXPENSE). THERE REALLY ISN'T ENOUGH HOURS IN THE DAY...
tiredness is a constant at the moment, and relying on triple-shot cappuccinos is becoming a far-too frequent occurrence.
HECTIC, FRAUGHT AND STRESSFULL I SHOULDN'T COMPLAIN THOUGH, IT REALLY IS BRILLIANT. (AND INVALUBLE CAREER-EXPERIENCE I'M HOPING!)
HERE WAS THE FIRST SHOOT:
style editors: alice tate, hannah watte
models: charlotte young, amanda brown, katy de beer lucas scherdel
photographers: joel harratt, mark mckay
REALLY PLEASE WITH IT, BUT WHAT DO YOU THINK?
(check out more from the paper by picking up a copy at Leeds Student union every friday, or online at www.leedsstudent.org)
thanks for the comments! looks like such a fun job..great first shoot!
