...AND AS DESIGN INSPIRATION, I CAME ACROSS BEAUTY.
THIS PICTURE I FOUND ON WGSN- USED TO INSPIRE THE SHAPE OF MY RENAISSANCE-STYLE DOUBLET.
(i was cynical at first i admit about the use of a doublet- perhaps too traditional for today's fashions, a quilted tiny waistcoat- and did wonder why i was designing such a piece. however, since shopping- i've noticed many a doublet hitting the highstreet. clearly, i was wrong).
ANYWAY, LOVED THIS IMAGE- BUT THEN I SAW THE REST OF THE EDITORIAL.
AND,
ISN'T IT JUST RIDICULOUSLY, INCREDIBLY, MAGNIFICENTLY BEAUTIFUL.
A MIX OF GENTLE FASHION PHOTOGRAPHY AND DELICATELY DRAWN ILLUSTRATIONS WORKS PREFECTLY.
